Lesson 1 - Introduction, Definitions, Screen, Keyboard, Mouse and File Structure

    * Names and Uses of components (Computer Survey handout)

    * Screen, Mouse and Keyboard (Screen Mouse Keyboard handout) using the Keyboard worksheet.

    * Introduction to files, folder, directories.

    * Retrieve and review handout on File Storage and directory structure concepts.

    * Use Internet Explorer to download files

    * Download and open sample files of various types:

    * Note how each file is handled; what program is started

Lesson 3- Windows File Explorer; Make a Shortcut; Make a Directory; Save files

    * Find Windows File Explorer program and make a shortcut on the desktop;

see file extensions, make a shortcut and create a folder handout

    * Use Windows File Explorer to create 'SCOOP' directory

    * Use Internet Explorer to access "Sample..." files on Shepherds Center website in

         Beginners' Lesson 2.

    * Download and save "Sample..." files into 'SCOOP' directory.

    * Use Windows File Explorer to determine if SCOOP directory exists and create it if it does not.

    * Download and save into the SCOOP directory the Business Letter format document.

    * Download, open and print the MS WORD shortcut keys handout.

    * Perform MS Word Shortcut keys exercise to create a business letter.

    * Print and save into the SCOOP directory the business letter you created.

    * Create a greeting card with MS/Word and Word Art

     - go north 2/10 mile on Park Ave/US-17 toward Kingsley Ave/SR-224.

     - turn left on Kingsley Ave/SR-224.

     - go 3/10 mile to the 2nd traffic light.
