Scotty Hood has been a member of The Shepherd’s Center of Orange Park for more than a decade, and has served as a Member of the TSCOOP Board of Directors for four years and counting. He also serves TSCOOP as a facilitator of the senior bridge group.

Before retiring, Hood served as an Elementary School Teacher in Florida – kindergarten through 6th grade – for 34 years. Six years in Hillsborough County, two years in Duval County, and 26 years in Clay County, including numerous years as Grade Level Chairperson.

Hood is a graduate of H.B. Plant High School in Tampa, FL. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University, and a Master of Art from the University of South Florida in Tampa. He is a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi

Married 53 years, Hood is the mother of three adult children and has been a resident of Orange Park for more than four decades.
